Wedding day shoes are something I get a lot of questions about because there is so much more to consider than just finding a pair that looks beautiful. Of course, your shoes should feel like you, but they also need to work with your day.

Start by thinking about your budget, venue, weather, and how you’ll actually wear your shoes throughout the day.

The good news? There are so many beautiful wedding shoe options at every price point, so once you look at your overall wedding wardrobe budget and what you’ve invested in your dress, you can decide what feels right to spend on a shoe.

Getting married outside? Opt for a block heel, platform, or wedge to avoid sinking into grass or struggling on uneven ground.

Having a summer wedding? A strappy sandal or open-toe heel can help keep you comfortable in the heat.

For indoor venues, a classic heel or statement shoe can be the perfect finishing touch.

If you’re dreaming of a second pair for the dance floor, make sure your dress (or dresses) are tailored to each shoe height so your fit stays flawless all night long. Whether you’re a heel girl, a flat lover, or somewhere in between, I’ve rounded up a little bit of everything to help you find the perfect pair for your big day.
